Abstract

Satellite orientation in space is important for continuous solar cell and antenna orientation. This orientation is performed by means of flywheels. The technique allows satellites having the largest useful life. Is there any other technique? Yes. It consists in the use of radial jets, constituted by two nozzles producing the moment of a couple. Such a technique allows a limited life to the system, since it lasts when the material to be ejected is finished. The article explains the functioning of the flywheel technique.
