Abstract

The road transport growth has in-creased those problems that threaten

its sustainability: accidents exhaust emissions, congestion, etc. Intelligent

Transport Systems (ITS) provide so-lutions based on electronics, auto-matic control and communications technologies. In this complex envi-ronment where users of different characteristics share the same infras-tructure, improvements that coopera-tive systems (V2V, V2I and manage-ment centres) produce are evaluated.Furthermore, main obstacles that make their quick and wide implemen-tation difficult are analyzed.
