Abstract

The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances, REACH, is a new European Community Regulation devoted to the protection of human health and the environment. Introduced in June 2007, it aims to achieve a better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances through the supply chain. This article explores the new Regulation, to whom it applies as well as its application deadlines.
