MERCADO IBÉRICA DE LA ENERGÍA ELÉCTRICA

Abstract

On July 2007, nine years after the first attempts to build an lberic Market of Electrical Energy, MIBEL has taken a significant step towards its full operability. It is a partial electric energy market of the EuropeanUnion; its creation will facilitate the objective of creating one main European market of electrical energy. Foundations of MIBEL are the installations which constitute the Spanish and Portuguese electrical systems. This paper provides information on those systems in the hopes of making the result of their integration known. This result will be called the lberic System of Electrical Energy in this paper.
