Abstract

The aim of the present work

is evaluating the infl uence of

the operational variables of

a renewable energy heating

system, specifi cally biomass

based crushed olive stone,

analyzing the feasibility of

implementing this type of

renewable energy facilities in

hospitals and other buildings of

Extremadura (Spain), studying

how it infl uence energy and

environmental aspects of

the building in the energy

consumption and management.

The analysis has taken account

of technical aspects related to the

operation of these installations

with biomass, including reliability

and maintainability of the

same, evaluating the problems

generated by the introduction of

renewable energy from biomass

with bones olive crushed in

hospitals.
