This paper presents the integration of data acquisition from land and unmanned aerial vehicles (mUAV) in the visible and thermal channels, validating the results for inspection and detection of different pathologies on facades of real case studies. An original methodology is proposed and tested for rapid inspection of building envelopes, supported by geospatial techniques. Frequent pathologies, as moisture damages and thermal losses are analyzed in real urban facades. UAV-based inspection allows checking inaccessible areas with visible and thermal sensors, obtaining homogeneous global models that can be analyzed with sufficient time and detail at the office (postprocessing). Based on these models, objective diagnosis can be performed even in the most complex neighborhoods and building designs, as well as energy balance analyses and detection of pathologies with economical and reliable means for large areas. This technology is ready for use in building inspection and it is very useful in the design of rehabilitation projects for tall and complex buildings in the framework of energy efficiency.
