The commercial launching of new products is a complex process that plays a key role in the performance of most companies. A patent can guarantee that a company enjoys enough commercial monopoly so as to have a good return on investment. However, this can only be achieved if the patent is a strong patent. This paper presents some technical considerations about the strength of patents and suggests some strategies to improve it, thereby ensuring an effective protection of the product.
