Determinación del riesgo operacional en la línea aérea de contacto del ferrocarril
Abstract
This paper proposes a methodology to determine
the operational risk in a highly complex and
geographically distributed system such as the
overhead contact line of a railway network. This
operational risk refers to the different issues
that may lead to undesirable effects in the
operation of the system ant it is obtained by
means of an index for each of the areas in which
the system is divided taking into account data
such as such as the number of faults in the area,
unavailability of the area, age of the installation
or differences among the actual installation and
the ideal one. All these factors are processed
with the appropriate statistical techniques and
combined through a multivariate technique to
build an index to be used for decision making
in the allocation of investments in each of the
areas in the network with the aim of increasing
the availability of the network.
