International Conference on Managing Nuclear Knowledge - organized by IAEA in Saclay (France), 7-10 September 2004 -, the author puts forward his appreciations on the negative effects for the nuclear knowledge and expertise that happened in 1983, when the Government suspended the licences for five nuclear power plants under construction, what ruined the accumulated knowledge in the field of the nuclear research and their applications.
