Universities are distinguished by their wide range of high quality services. These services are aimed at members of the teaching and research staff and administrative and service staff, as well as students and even the general public. Universities have tried to apply quality principles in their daily work. The principles (customer orientation, continuous improvement and teamwork) can be seen as rules or norms of behaviour that guide action generally and universally in today's universities. They must be thoroughly practised and known in order to achieve the best possible application of this corporate philosophy.
